During corporate sessions, students get a real taste of the Pilates Method, its movement technique, postural training and every-day use at work and outside of working hours.

A lot of our new students tell us how they are better able to relax and unwind, sleep better and are generally better equipped to cope with stress and tension in their bodies thanks to taking part in Pilates classes.

It is a method that is suitable for all ages, all abilities and there is no need for prior knowledge of any form of training/exercise. Even students who are familiar with the method will benefit from a general session, since every teacher teaches slightly differently and we get used to certain movement dynamics which will be challenged with a different tutor.

There is no need to invest in large spaces or fancy equipment. All you need is a space that can accommodate up to 20 of your staff while lying down on the ground, with enough room to move around their arms and legs.

If you have a carpeted space, class participants can simply bring in a large towel to lie down on, instead of investing in a Pilates mat. What's more, as Pilates is generally a sweat-free workout, staff members can comfortably return to their day after their workout without feeling uncomfortable.

Studio Lindberg will be happy to organise a Company Day Out (or in) for your organisation.

Studio Lindberg can tailor make a package for your staff including a Pilates session, the services of a Nutritionist, Physiotherapist, Massage, an RSI expert and other health professionals for your employees.

We have many affiliates and are able to accommodate a wide variety of needs and budgets. We can either bring these services to your workplace or we can accommodate you at one of our fabulous centres in Harley St W1 or Portland Place W1.

PILATES FAQ

How fit do I need to be?
The beauty of the Pilates method is that it lends itself to all levels of physical fitness and all ages. The instructor will guide you through the different exercises and we encourage you to ask questions if you are unsure about anything. You are welcome to work at your own level and to suit your own mood.

Will Pilates improve my fitness?
You will improve your posture, through strengthening your core muscles. Pilates has fitness advantages through increasing your strength and improving the quality of your movements. It is also preventative, and can help you avoid back problems and stress-related conditions.

I’ve heard that Pilates is great for toning up the abdomen, does it differ from conventional abs training?
Pilates concentrates on the deep-lying muscles, unlike regular abdominal crunches which primarily target the superficial abdominal muscles. In Pilates you will become strong from the inside and out.

I have a back problem – could Pilates help?
Yes, provided that you are pain- and injury-free and that you have medical clearance to exercise. Pilates can be an incredible way to counter ergonomic stress put on the back and shoulders due to office environments – after 6 sessions you should notice the health difference for your back!

What should I wear when doing Pilates?
Anything in which you can move comfortably, special workout gear is not required which makes this an easy fit for 'at office' training. Trainers are not necessary, but do bring a pair of socks. Fitted and stretchy fabrics are best, allowing us to see your movements.

Introductory sessions are normally held on Mondays at noon at your workplace. Let us know if you need a different time slot and we will accommodate your needs as best we can. For groups of more than 20 people additional fees will apply.
